Power to the People:
After a two year hiatus this cult classic returns. For 2012, we blended our flagship Thompson Vineyard Syrah with Syrah and Petite Sirah from the famous Stolpman Vineyard. The old vine Syrah from Thompson brings class and complexity, while the Syrah from Stolpman which is grown on limestone soil, provides acidity and balance. Inky black Petite Sirah is all structure and power.

On the nose, Power displays a raw meat character and dense, coffee and chocolate. This is a dark, massive wine which will take some time to show all it’s true colors. Initially look for notes of sun cured black olives and tamarind, and deep, toasty oak, with the berry fruit characteristics unfurling as the wine begins to open displaying a whole range of red to black fruit including raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry.
