This blend is a 10 year anniversary throwback blend. The deep fruit core of Thompson’s legendary Estrella clone Syrah melds perfectly with their Mourvedre which contributes beautiful purple plum and incense notes. This is not the most massive and muscular rendition of either Thompson or Syrah, but very vibrant aromatically with amazing, unique fruit notes and a smooth, soft mouthfeel. There is a strong sense of place in this wine, which conveys coastal Santa Barbara’s unique personality of cool climate yet ripe fruit notes.

Nose: incense, vanilla/cream soda, tobacco, leather, purple fruit, root beer, cola, Dr. Brown’s black cherry
Mouth: smooth, soft tannins, beef tartare, pretty floral notes, sagebrush, blackberry, plum, black cherry
Decant for: A few hours of decanting will allow this wine to open up nicely.
Pair with: charcuterie board, Syrian maza, medium rare lamb chops
