Description
2019 Haar Family Blend
Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot
Vineyard: Haar Family
Region: Adelaida District, Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo County, CA
This limited edition bottling is a Bordeaux styled blend from a small vineyard in the Central Coast’s grand cru appellation for Bordeaux grapes: Adelaida District on the Westside of Paso Robles. This unique location’s abundant fossilized whalebones and calcareous soils result in wines with tremendous concentration and an acidity that allows these wines to retain freshness even when pushed to peak ripeness. Haar Family’s Cabernet lends dark black fruit, Cabernet Franc imparts classy Bordelaise notes and Petit Verdot red fruit, complexity and freshness. Judicious amounts of new French oak allow the fruit notes to shine forth pure and unhindered.
Proprietors Stan and Ana Haar come from different backgrounds. He grew up in Baltimore while she is from Brazil, where they met. But they share a love of the rural lifestyle and great wine. They are living their dream tending the Haar Family Vineyard in Paso Robles.
