Description
2019 BroDeux Blanc:
Varietals: Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon
Vineyards: McGinley, Santa Ynez Vineyard
Region: Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA
Bottle Size: 750ml
This vintage of BroDeux Blanc we managed to utilize some Semillon in the blend. Semillon is a little bit more subtle aromatically than Sauvignon Blanc bringing more nuance to the blend. The Semillon was fermented in neutral barrels and aged sur lie with the Sauvignon Blanc fermented in flextank and neutral oak. Sauvignon Blanc based whites tend to be extremely versatile and can be made in many different styles from showing green, grassy notes to lime to tropical fruit and peach. BroDeux Blanc falls somewhere in the middle with a great guava enote, some old world reductive notes and amazing acidity.
