One of our personal favorite varieties, always difficult to get and always yielding lower than we anticipate, Luna Matta Aglianico struggles to grow a meager crop of grapes that yield a wine of unparalleled power and complexity.

Nose: Green peppercorn, sagebrush, incense, tar, boysenberry reduction
Mouth: Iron tight, dense tannic minerality, bittersweet high cacao content chocolate, toasted herbs, boysenberry and blackberry in an old world, rustic profile. A real treat.
Decant for: An hour or two of decanting will allow this wine to open up nicely.
Pair with: This wine needs a dry aged Wagyu tomahawk or smoked dino ribs .
