Description
2018 Unnamed Gruner Veltliner:
Varietal: Gruner Veltliner
Vineyard: Secret
Region: Santa Barbara County
Bottle Size: 750ml
One of our favorite white varieties, Gruner Veltliner makes a return to our lineup, this time from a cooler climate site than our 2014’s John Sebastiano Gruner. Gruner Veltliner tends to be very clean a fresh with crisp acidity and an apple fruit profile. We fermented our Gruner utilizing native yeast and in a terra cotta amphora and in stainless steel. It was aged until bottling in the amphora. The native fermentation smelled like a great saison beer and the terra cotta imparts an earthenware note and a glassy, mineral mouthfeel that brings so much vibrancy and freshness to the palate. This wine will pair excellently with food or sipped chilled poolside.
New Release TN’s:
