A blend of Syrah from the two extremes of Santa Barbara County’s Santa Ynez Valley. JSV bordering cool Sta Rita Hills on the west and Starlane Vineyard in the warm Happy Canyon on the east.
Medium depth – Dark core.
Collaborative notes from our winery team (Gabe, Shimon, & Alex):
The cool climate Syrah provides very intriguing, thought provoking spicy and floral notes, while the warm climate Syrah contributes big, rich body and raspberry jam.
Nose: Look for notes of peppercorn, fresh herbal garrigue, dragonfruit, and black currant,
Palate: Medium integrated tannin and acidity. Smokey and gamey, root beer and tanned leather, tobacco, fennel, hibiscus, and black currants. Toast and slight cedar come through on the finish.
NOTE: We recommend drinking this wine from a Burgundy shaped wine glass.
