For our first Pinot release we wanted to bring another perspective.
This one is big for a Pinot. Rich and round, high toned and sinewy, yet still showing the characteristic grace and elegance of PN. Grown on the steep, windswept slopes in the cool climate John Sebastiano Vineyard, this is a classic example of Sta Rita Hills Pinot Noir.
Medium-lighter red to purple.
Collaborative notes from our winery team (Gabe, Shimon, & Alex):
Nose: A beautiful, heavily perfumed nose of red cherry, and rose petal unfold, displaying nuances of cinnamon spice and iron, hints of leather, and savory herbs.
Palate: Well structured with velvety tannins and lively acidity. Flavors of earth, tobacco, and anise seed. Complex layers of red fruit – including pomegranate, sabra, strawberry and raspberry. A lasting finish of smoky bacon, sage and buttery toast.
